Kevin Gray Design attends Salon Art + Design 2019
This year’s annual Salon Art + Design Fair held November 14-18 at the Park Avenue Armory in New York was full of shine and brilliance, literally.
Garrido Gallery’s pieces stood out with their chrome Fold Collection; Priveekollektie Contemporary Art had Corine van Voorbergen’s colorful, reflective circular art as well as Reinier Bosch’s melted bronze furniture.
Twenty First Century Gallery also had some stellar pieces such as the sconces and velvet chairs with bronze inserts by Atelier Rowin as did David Gill Gallery with the Daniel Libeskind-designed metal chair next to Fredrikson Steller’s “Scriptus” mirror and coffee table which reflected the interior of Studio Amebe’s unique “Cupola” chandelier.
Another favorite was a pair of delicate, linear sconces at Charles Burnand and mesmerizing glass sconces by Vezzini & Chen at Flow Gallery.
Also noteworthy are Rogan Gregory’s curvaceous pieces at R and Company, Niamh Barry’s monumental pendant light at Maison Gerard, Mathieu Lehanneur’s floating marble tables on delicate blown glass and Donzella’s selection of vintage pieces.
