Kevin’s Design Tips For Large Spaces

This Miami condo has 16,000 square feet and 7 bedrooms, 7 bathrooms, 2 powder rooms and a pool shower room, and is one of the largest condos in South Florida;

Compartmentalize a large space into living, entertaining and private areas.
Create design continuity with patterns and textures. Mix a strong, overscaled pattern with muted colors and textures, then bring in several wood tones to warm and ground the room. Metalic items add balance and a bit of glistening.
Use zones in rooms to create intimate seating areas.
Low profile furniture accentuates the high ceilings and doesn’t block spectacular views.
Your home should tell your story: include objects from your travels and family pieces to personalize your spaces.
The kitchen is the heart of the room: lighting is important to modernize the kitchen and make it an efficient workspace. A kitchen separated from the rest of the living area provides a work zone.
Natural textures create a relaxing environment.
Entertaining spaces should be relaxing as well as practical. Indoor-outdoor fabrics and livable furniture are forgiving and beautiful.
