KEY LARGO

This original 1950s home was stripped of its 1980s alterations and restored the school of mid-century modern style and splendor. The kitchen was designed in lacquer and light wood, opened to flow into the dining room as the eye continues on to the enclosed front porch that ends with magnificent ocean views. Designer Kevin Gray used glass and chiseled gray granite brick columns as well as an island to anchor the open kitchen. The bedrooms and bathrooms were also opened with the use of large windows and finished with light blue and green glass stacked brick tile. The project was finished with sandstone porcelain floors throughout the home. The stairway was striped of all tile and wooden colonial handrails to expose the structure and custom handrails of steel and teak flow from stairway total exterior terraces.
