LUXURY DUPLEX PENTHOUSE WASHINGTON DC

KEVIN WAS CALLED TO WASHINGTON DC TO FURNISH AND DECORATE HIS MIAMI CLIENT’S NEW HOME.

“It was a wonderful opportunity to work hand in hand, in a new city, with my client and friend. ”

Kevin anchored the living room with an orange velvet sofa with a mix of his signature Fortuny pillows. A transparent sheer fabric from Jack Lenor Larsen was selected to soften the large windows without obstructing the panoramic views.

To give the apartment a more loft-like feel the 12‘ high concrete slab was left unfinished. The open airy appearance accentuates the client’s Latin American art collection.

Kevin hung a modern glass Murano fixture and flanked the bar with two Bertoia stools to ground the kitchen island.

For the master bedroom Kevin selected a colorful play of Rubelli fabrics in both solids and patterns. A 1970’s Castiglioni lamp rests alongside a white lacquer dresser.

Departing from the colorful downstairs scheme, the upstairs TV room was anchored with slate black walls and neural furnishings to set off the architecture and view.

Kevin used off-white outdoor sectional seating from SIFAS, mixing colorful Knoll dining chairs and vibrant accent color from Donghia’s Sunbrella fabric throw pillows and cushions on vintage wrought iron pieces.

“This was an apartment that was great for living and entertaining and watching the season change from the color palette of the living room.”
